Air Fryer Apple Fritters are a delicious, light and perfect dessert for a snack or why not, even for breakfast. Some time ago, I had prepared the version of apple and almond fritters and baked apple fritters. I wanted to prepare this very light version and I must tell you that, they are an explosion of flavor; in fact all the sweetness of the apples is retained.
Ingredients :
- 1 large egg
- 50g (1/4 cup) granulated sugar
- 120ml (1/2 cup) whole milk
- 160g (1 1/3 cups) all-purpose flour
- Zest of 1 lemon, finely grated
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 8g (2 tsp) baking powder
How to make Air Fryer Apple Fritters:
- In a large bowl, beat the egg with the sugar and grated lemon zest, then pour in the milk in a low stream.
- Incorporate the flour and last the baking powder, then stir and set aside.
- Peel two large apples and remove the center core with the apple cutter.
- Below dip them in the batter, then transfer them to the air fryer covered with baking paper. Bake at 180°C (355°F) for about 10 minutes.
- If your air fryer has only one heating element adjust accordingly: after the 10 minutes have elapsed, open and check if they do not seem cooked, extend the cooking time.
