Apple and Yogurt Cake :It has only 130 kcal but is absolutely a must try!
Apples contain a lot of pectin. This is a natural fiber that helps keep blood sugar levels under control. In fact, it allows a gradual absorption of sugars, thus avoiding dangerous blood spikes.
In today’s recipe, apples take center stage. We’re presenting a dessert that’s not only incredibly tasty but also wonderfully light. This treat allows you to fully indulge your taste buds while keeping the calorie count at a mere 130 per serving.
Ingredients :
You’ll need (for about 12 servings):
- 5 apples
- 200g (1 2/3 cups) all-purpose flour
- 125g (1/2 cup) plain or vanilla yogurt (essentially the amount in one small pot)
- 75g (1/3 cup) stevia or 150g (3/4 cup) granulated sugar
- 30g (2 tablespoons) butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet (about 16g or 4 teaspoons) baking powder
- Powdered sugar (icing sugar) for dusting, as needed
How to make Apple and Yogurt Cake:
- The first thing is to preheat the oven to 180°C (355°F). After that you take a cake pan and line it with baking paper that you will have duly soaked in water and then squeezed with your hands.
- Now you take the apples, peel them and slice them very finely. Then you break the eggs inside a bowl and add the stevia (or regular caster sugar). The mixture should take on a light color and a light, fluffy consistency.
- Now we lay the apple slices on the bottom of the cake pan and pour the mixture we prepared just now on top. It is leveled with a spatula.
- Baking takes a minimum of fifty minutes; before baking you can do the classic toothpick test. In case the toothpick comes out with still some moisture, you should move the cake to the lowest shelf of the oven and let it go for five more minutes.
- The finishing touch, as usual, can be a nice dusting with powdered sugar.
Happy baking, and enjoy!
