If there’s a dessert that smells of home and tradition, it’s certainly the Apple Cream Tart. This delicacy combines the lightness of puff pastry with the sweetness of apples and is rounded off by a soft cream that can be prepared in just a few minutes. It’s the perfect cake for breakfast, as a snack, or as the crowning finale of a dinner party. If you love cakes with apples, I also recommend the classic soft apple cake or the apple-cinnamon tart – but this version with cream is truly something special.
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 3 apples
- 1 lemon
- 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons (200 ml) milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup (50 g) sugar
- 1/4 cup (30 g) all-purpose flour
- Powdered sugar for dusting
How to make Apple Cream Tart :
- Roll out the puff pastry in the pan, keeping the baking paper. Prick the base with a fork to prevent it from puffing up during baking.
- Peel the apples, slice them thinly, and drizzle with lemon juice.
- Arrange the apple slices on the puff pastry base in concentric circles or in a pattern as desired.
- In a bowl, beat the egg with the sugar until frothy.
- Add the sifted flour and mix well.
- Add the milk and continue stirring to avoid lumps.
- Pour the liquid cream over the apples and spread evenly.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 35-40 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and the cream has set.
- Allow to cool completely and dust with powdered sugar.
Enjoy!
