Ingredients :
- 250g (1 cup) ricotta cheese
- 250g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
- 150g (3/4 cup) granulated sugar
- 50ml (1/4 cup) milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 packet (2 teaspoons) baking powder
- 1 medium apple
- Peanut oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
How to make Apple Ricotta Fritters zubereitet:
- In a large bowl, mix the ricotta cheese and sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs and stir with a spoon to incorporate.
- Pour in the milk and mix well. Then, gradually add the sifted flour and baking powder.
- Stir the mixture gently with a spoon, ensuring there aren’t too many lumps.
- Peel and dice the apple, then fold it into the batter.
- Heat a generous amount of peanut oil in a deep frying pan or high-sided skillet.
- Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil and fry for a few minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar or roll in granulated sugar while still warm.
