Creating these small and tasty treats is truly easy, and you’ll only need a few minutes of your time to succeed.

Ingredients :

  • 400 gr of shortcrust pastry
  • 50 gr of sugar
  • 1 egg yolk

Ingredients needed to make the cream are:

  • 200 ml of milk
  • 50 gr of sugar
  • 20 gr of flour
  • 2 egg yolks

How to prepare Cream Horns with Puff Pastry:

  1. First of all you have to prepare the puff pastry.
  2. You just need to lay the shortcrust pastry, perhaps left over from another preparation, on a work table and roll it out properly with a rolling pin. After that you need to take a pastry cutter wheel and create strips 1 centimeter wide.
  3. Once you have completed this process take one strip you have made and val it to wrap it in a cone-shaped mold. Continue repeating the same process until you run out of strips of puff pastry and afterwards lay the result obtained on a baking sheet that you have previously lined with a sheet of baking paper.
  4. At this point dip a brush in the bowl in which you beat the egg yolk and run it over the puff pastry you have made.
  5. After that sprinkle powdered sugar on top and bake everything in the oven at a temperature of 180°C (350°F) degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
  6. In the meantime you can make the cream.
  7. In this case you need to take a large bowl and pour in the egg yolks and flour. Add the sugar and start mixing using an electric beater.
  8. Set the result aside and take a saucepan to place on the stove. Pour in the milk and when it is hot add the flour mixture you have made. Cook while continuing to stir continuously so as to make a cream.
  9. Once the cream is obtained, transfer it to a piping bag and when you have taken the puff pastry i out of the fire let them cool and then fill them with the cream you have prepared.
  10. At this point your delicious, simple and creamy puff pastry are ready to be enjoyed alone or with all your friends and relatives.
