Crispy Baked Zucchini Sticks: Perfekte Low-Carb-Snacks

Baked zucchini sticks are crispy with breadcrumbs and flavored with herbs and Parmesan cheese, finally baked in the oven with very little oil so they are appetizing but light. One of the easiest and quickest zucchini recipes to make, zucchini sticks can be served either as an appetizer, perhaps accompanied by a tasty dip, or as a side dish that goes well with meat and egg main courses.

Ingredients :

  • 500g (1 lb ) zucchini
  • 45g (3 tbsp) breadcrumbs
  • 15g (1 tbsp) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pinch dried oregano
  • 30ml (2 tbsp) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 5g (1 tsp) sweet paprika

How to make Crispy Baked Zucchini Sticks:

  1. Start by washing and trimming the zucchini.
  2. Cut the zucchini in half and then cut several sticks about half a centimeter thick from each half.
  3. Place the zucchini sticks in a bowl large enough to hold them all.
  4. Season the sticks with salt, oregano, and paprika.
  5. Mix them briefly with your hands.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.
  7. Mix again with your hands until they are evenly breaded, then add oil.
  8. Mix the zucchini sticks thoroughly with your hands to distribute the seasoning over all the sticks.
  9. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  10. Arrange the zucchini sticks on the baking sheet, well spread out and without adding additional oil or seasonings.
  11. Bake the zucchini sticks in a preheated oven at 200°C (390 °F) (ventilated) for about 15 minutes.
  12. If necessary, turn the grill on full power until the sticks are golden brown.
