Homemade Orange-Scented Cake : sweet recipe from my grandmother is a quick and easy recipe to make a very good and fragrant orange cake .
The recipe for this cake is very simple to make, made of simple ingredients that we always have at home, great for snack or breakfast.

Ingredients :
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 160g (¾ cup + 1 tbsp) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 orange
- Juice of 1 orange (about 60ml or ¼ cup)
- 90ml (⅓ cup + 1 tbsp) sunflower oil
- 220g (1¾ cups) all-purpose flour
- 30g (¼ cup) cornstarch
- 15g (2 tsp) baking powder
How to make homemade Orange-Scented Cake:
- To make this soft and delicious cake, we start by buttering and flouring a cake pan with a diameter of 22-24 centimeters (9-9.5 inch).
- In the bowl of a planetary mixer, whisk the whole eggs with the caster sugar, vanilla or vanillin and orange zest until light and fluffy.
- Still whipping, drizzle in the seed oil and previously squeezed orange juice.
- Continue whipping until all the ingredients are incorporated and finally add the flour, starch and baking powder mixed and sifted together.
- Gently stir everything together until the mixture is lump-free and smooth and pour it into the buttered and floured cake pan.
- Bake the cake in a static oven preheated to 175°C (350°F) for about 40-45 minutes. (Do a toothpick test)
- Once baked and allowed to cool, place the cake on a serving plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- At this point your fragrant and fluffy orange cake with yogurt will be ready to enjoy.
- To make this cake more mouthwatering, you can add 80g of dark chocolate chips to the dough.
