Mushroom Crostini with Cream Cheese an easy and tasty appetizer, also perfect to serve as an appetizer or in a buffet, you make them in minutes and they are delicious. To make these crostini with mushrooms you can use either porcini or champignon mushrooms depending on what you have on hand and most importantly you can use either fresh or frozen mushrooms. Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of bread
  • 500g (17.6 oz) mushrooms (such as cremini or button), cleaned and sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil, to taste
  • 100g (3.5 oz) cream cheese (Philadelphia)

How to make Mushroom Crostini with Cream Cheese:

  1. Clean the mushrooms, cut them into slices and pour them into a pot, with a dash of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt and a clove of garlic, cook them for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, the cooking time may vary depending on the type of mushroom you use. When the mushrooms are cooked, adjust the salt and sprinkle with parsley.
  2. Cut the bread into slices and toast it, then arrange them on a plate.
  3. Pour the spreadable cheese into a bowl, add a pinch of salt, a dash of oil and mix well. Spread the cheese on each slice and add the previously cooked mushrooms.
  4. Serve the Mushroom and Philadelphia Crostini or keep them in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
