Roast Beef with Mashed Potatoes: Recipe from a Well-Known Chef

If you want to make a dish worthy of a real chef, then, you must prepare Roast Beef with Mashed Potatoes proposed below.

A chef’s dish, such as the one we show you in the next few lines, will amaze all your family members. Here, then, is the recipe.

Ingredients :

For the Pork Roast:

  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) pork shoulder, boneless
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) vegetable oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp (5 g) paprika

For the Vegetable Medley:

  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) chunks
  • 2 medium onions, peeled and quartered
  • 200g (7 oz) button mushrooms, cleaned and halved
  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp (30 g) unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) whole milk
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

How to make Roast Beef with Mashed Potatoes:

  1. First, sauté chopped onion in a pan with vegetable oil for a couple of minutes.
  2. Then fry together also a grated carrot and a handful of mushrooms cut in half. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Then, place this mix over pork tenderloins, previously seasoned with salt, black pepper and paprika, and laid on a baking sheet, lined with baking paper. Bake for 40 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
  4. Remove from oven, add a handful of semi-hard grated cheese, and bake for another 20 minutes at 220°C (430 °F) .
  5. Boil chunks of potatoes in a tall pot filled with salted water for about 20 minutes, and, then, add a knob of butter, some warm milk, and mashed potato them, mashing them with a potato masher.
  6. Finally, plate both the baked meat and the mashed potato together.
  7. The baked meat with mashed potato is ready.
