- 200g (7 oz) carrots, diced
- 400g (14 oz) potatoes, diced
- 250g (9 oz) frozen peas
- 2 large eggs
- Mayonnaise (to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
How to make Russian Salad with Shrimp:
- Here is how to quickly and perfectly prepare the recipe for Russian salad with shrimp: after peeling the carrots and potatoes, wash them under running water and dry them with a cloth. Dice the vegetables and place them in salted boiling water. Let them cook for 15 minutes and add the peas as well, let the vegetables cook for another 10 minutes, finally drain them, put them in a bowl and let them cool.
- Clean the shrimp, remove the carapace and, helping yourself with a toothpick, also the black fillet, which is nothing more than the crustacean’s intestines. Bring a pot of water to a boil and dip the shrimp in it for a few minutes, then drain.
- Meanwhile, cook the hard-boiled eggs as well; when they are cooked, place them under running water to stop the cooking.
- At this point, if you have decided not to buy it, start making the mayonnaise, don’t worry, it’s very easy: in the blender’s mug put the egg, vinegar and salt, whip at full speed with the electric whisk until you get a thick, full-bodied sauce.
- Add the mayonnaise to the boiled vegetables, mix and put everything in a serving dish, compact with the back of a spoon giving the coleslaw a spherical shape.
- Peel the already cold hard-boiled eggs and cut them into wedges, with the wedges decorate the top of the coleslaw dome, finally decorate the sides with shrimp.
