Marinated Swordfish Sicilian Style Savory and Tasty the Traditional Recipe to make at home and present as an appetizer especially during the holidays.
This recipe is a classic of Italian cuisine, a preparation that is made with ready-made slices of swordfish or swordfish to be cut into thin slices and then marinated for at least one night to ensure the most aromatic and spicy flavor.
Ingredients :
- 400g (2 cups) smoked swordfish
- 100ml (⅓ cup + 1 tbsp) extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- Fresh parsley, to taste
- Dried oregano, to taste
- 1 lemon
- Salt, to taste
- Green olives, to taste
- Pink peppercorns, to taste
- Cream cheese (such as Philadelphia), to taste
- Fresh thyme, to taste
How to Prepare Tasty Marinated Swordfish:
- We prepare the dressing by putting the ‘evo oil in a bowl, add the lemon juice, salt and start mixing everything.
- We add the chopped parsley, oregano, crushed garlic and mix with a spoon. We set aside.
- We take the swordfish slices and lay them on a serving plate. We put on top the salmoriglio, which is the dressing we prepared earlier.
- We add green olives, some peppercorns, thyme , whole organic lemon slices, then adjust the salt.
- We put the philadelphia in a sac a poche and make decorations on the swordfish slices, to make the dish more elegant.
- We let it rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator covered with transparent paper and then serve.
- We can choose a marinating time of at least 5 hours, preferably a whole night in case we decide to use fresh swordfish slices.
