Marinated Swordfish Sicilian Style Savory and Tasty the Traditional Recipe to make at home and present as an appetizer especially during the holidays.

This recipe is a classic of Italian cuisine, a preparation that is made with ready-made slices of swordfish or swordfish to be cut into thin slices and then marinated for at least one night to ensure the most aromatic and spicy flavor.

Ingredients :

  • 400g (2 cups) smoked swordfish
  • 100ml (⅓ cup + 1 tbsp) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Fresh parsley, to taste
  • Dried oregano, to taste
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt, to taste
  • Green olives, to taste
  • Pink peppercorns, to taste
  • Cream cheese (such as Philadelphia), to taste
  • Fresh thyme, to taste

How to Prepare Tasty Marinated Swordfish:

  1. We prepare the dressing by putting the ‘evo oil in a bowl, add the lemon juice, salt and start mixing everything.
  2. We add the chopped parsley, oregano, crushed garlic and mix with a spoon. We set aside.
  3. We take the swordfish slices and lay them on a serving plate. We put on top the salmoriglio, which is the dressing we prepared earlier.
  4. We add green olives, some peppercorns, thyme , whole organic lemon slices, then adjust the salt.
  5. We put the philadelphia in a sac a poche and make decorations on the swordfish slices, to make the dish more elegant.
  6. We let it rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator covered with transparent paper and then serve.
  7. We can choose a marinating time of at least 5 hours, preferably a whole night in case we decide to use fresh swordfish slices.
