The Best Orange Cookies: Simple, Quick, and Easy Recipe (No Butter, No Milk)

The best orange cookies, super easy they can be prepared in less than 5 minutes. Quick to prepare orange cookies with seed oil turn out soft and fragrant.

  • 100ml (⅓ cup) groundnut/peanut oil
  • 100g (½ cup) caster/granulated sugar

  • ½ orange, zested and juiced
  • 300g (2⅓ cups) plain/all-purpose flour
  • 8g (2 tsp) baking powder

How to make The best orange cookies:

  1. Pour the oil into a large bowl, add the sugar and stir to dissolve. This can be done with a hand whisk or with electric whips.
  2. Add 1 medium-sized egg-that is at room temperature-followed by juice of half an orange and grated zest
  3. Knead the mixture a few minutes. Separately sift 00 flour and gradually incorporate it into the mixture.
  4. You need to get a soft but not sticky mixture, if necessary add a little flour (compared to the given amounts). The amount may vary slightly depending on the liquidity of the mixture.
  5. It is not necessary to let the mixture rest in the refrigerator, therefore, proceed by breaking off pieces as small as a walnut and work with your hands to obtain small balls. Mash the balls in a bowl with powdered sugar.
  6. Place them inside a baking pan with baking paper or silicone mat add a little sugar and bake the cookies about 15 to 20 minutes in a pre-heated static oven at 180°C (350°F).
  7. The cookies will puff up a bit, when they are cooked and well browned turn off and let them cool. Adding chocolate chips will make delicious cookies with a special flavor
  8. For optimal storage, place them in a closed container in a cool place

  1. To bake cookies in air fryer place them in the basket with baking paper and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes.
