Creamy Milk Cake: So Soft It Melts in Your Mouth

The cake we suggest today is a creamy milk cake, impossible not to be tempted, encore is guaranteed, I eat it with a fork, I console myself every time. All you need is milk, flour, sugar, eggs and flavorings, no oil or butter needed.

Accompany with a cup of coffee or some hot chocolate and you’ll see what a hit, what do you say you want to try it? There is always a good opportunity to be able to make this cake, even if you plan a snack with friends in the afternoon.

Ingredients :

  • 4 large eggs
  • 150g (¾ cup) granulated sugar
  • 500ml (2 cups) milk, at room temperature
  • 160g (1¼ cups) all-purpose flour
  • Zest of 1 organic lemon
  • Zest of 1 organic orange
  • Powdered sugar (icing sugar), for dusting

How to make Creamy Milk Cake:

  1. In order to prepare this cake, we start by putting the eggs and sugar in a bowl and work the two ingredients for several minutes until the mixture is smooth, frothy and puffy.
  2. It is recommended to work with electric whips. We add the sifted flour, mix well, it should be incorporated well to the mixture of eggs and sugar.
  3. We pour in the milk, which should be at room temperature, mix again with electric whips and add the grated lemon and orange peel, mix well.
  4. Only when we obtain a homogeneous mixture without lumps do we pour it into the buttered cake mold and bake at 180° C (350°F) for about 40 minutes.
  5. We turn it off when the baking is finished and let it cool and then sprinkle powdered sugar and serve the cake in slices.
