Whenever I have to make appetizers, I make these fantastic Savory Puff Pastry Rolls, you only need two ingredients besides puff pastry. All that remains is to discover the sprint recipe!
In the kitchen with a little imagination and with very simple ingredients you can prepare unique recipes that certainly won’t disappoint you how about it? Today we are here to bring you rustic puff pastry filled with scamorza cheese and sun-dried tomatoes in oil.
Ingredients :
- 1 sheet of rectangular puff pastry (approximately 320g )
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
- 8 sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained and chopped
- 150g (5.3 oz) smoked scamorza cheese, grated (substitute with smoked mozzarella if unavailable)
- Dried oregano, to taste
How to make
- In order to prepare these rustics, we start by removing the sun-dried tomatoes from their oil, drain them well and then cut them in half or into several pieces. We cut the smoked scamorza cheese into strips.
- Let’s preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and then take the puff pastry out of the refrigerator, unroll it, do not remove the baking paper and put it directly on a baking sheet. Let’s cut it out by cutting rectangles of equal size. Let’s put the scamorza cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, a little sliced onion in the center of each rectangle. We take only two opposite ends of the rectangles and join in the center.
- As soon as we are done with the remaining rectangles, we scatter some oregano and bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes, turn off when done.
- Let these amazing puff pastry rustics cool a little and then serve on a serving plate.
Enjoy!
